The award is for individuals and teams that have\, as amateurs\, captured a gold medal at the provincial\, Maritime\, Atlantic or Eastern Canadian level\, won a bronze\, silver or gold medal at the national or international level or received special recognition for their achievements from their governing sports body between January and December 2020.
