DESCRIPTION:Branch 10 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Amherst will mark our First World War dead by planting a Vimy tree on Thursday\, August 10th.The ceremony will be at 12:15 p.m. in Veteran’s Memorial Park\, at the corner of Havelock and Ratchford Streets. The tree is a descendant of an oak tree at Vimy Ridge\, whose acorns were gathered following the battle by Lt. Col. Leslie Miller. \n
