DESCRIPTION:The Town of Sackville will be hosting a Mobile Eco-Depot/Household Hazardous Waste Depot\, at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Center\, Wed and Thur Aug 15 and 16 from noon-8. \n  \nThe following items will be accepted: Computer towers\, servers\, laptops\, monitors\, keyboards\, mouse\, scanners\, printers\, fax machines\, VCR’s\, DVD players\, stereos\, calculators\, telephones\, pagers\, typewriters\, audio/video equipment\, computer cords\, Batteries\, LED bulbs\, motor oil\, paint\, etc. \n  \nThe following will not be accepted as E-waste: Televisions\, microwaves\, any type of appliance (toasters\, kettles\, grills\, fryers\, etc.). These items can be put out as part of your clean-up weeks. \n  \nFor questions\, contact Public Works at 364-4960. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Amherst and Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to join them to hear from the elected representatives from the Town of Amherst\, the Municipality of Cumberland\, the Province and Federal levels of government. Mayor David Kogan\, County Warden Allison Gillis\, MLA Elizabeth Smith McCrossin and MP Bill Casey. Have been invited to discuss what is happening at each level of government and it’s impact on the local economy\, and what their roles are in making our economy self supporting. The event is Thursday Aug 16 at 6:30 at the Community Credit Union Business Innovation Center.
