DESCRIPTION:This is Police week and it gives the community a unique opportunity to see what police do.  The Amherst Police Department is hosting their police week event at the Amherst Centre Mall today from 10- 3. The event showcases booths inside and outside the mall.  The booths topics range from different sections of policing\, and the huge web of community partnerships that the police have forged that help support our residents. This is a unique opportunity for the public to see these police resources close up.  The Amherst Police Department booth will host two taser demonstrations at 11  and 1. \n  \n
