SUMMARY:Amherst Christmas Parade
DESCRIPTION:Saturday is Christmas Parade Day. This year’s theme is Light Up The Night Traditional Christmas”. It begins at 6 from the TD Canada Trust parking lot and follows the same route as last year\, with one exception. The parade will end at the Walmart parking lot\, diverted at the lights at Kent. Robert Angus Drive will be blocked from South Albion to the Walmart entrance\, so you can cross to the Amherst Center. In partnership with Autism Nova Scotia Cumberland Chapter\, organizers are asking all parade floats to refrain from blowing horns and sirens from the area between the Atlantic Kia and Frank and Ginos designated sensory friendly zone. Parade celebrations and the award ceremony will still be held at the Amherst Center following the parade. You can find a parade application and more parade details at Amherst.ca \n
