DESCRIPTION:Eat Local Cumberland and the Amherst Community Garden invite you to the 9th Annual Seedy Saturday\, March 13 from 1-4 at the Amherst Lions Center. \nBeginner or seasoned gardener\, bring your seeds to exchange\, bring old gardening books to exchange\, exchange knowledge\, learn about local seed and food producers\, and meet your farmers. Admission is by donation. \nCovid-19 regulations will be enforced throughout the duration of the event. Masks and social distancing is required. They will take names and numbers for contact tracing and encourage you to the use of hand sanitizing stations. \n

DESCRIPTION:Dr. Janneke Gradstein is running to support the Emergency Department at the Cumberland Health Care Center. Dr. Gradstein will run a full marathon of 42.2 km to honor those who work so diligently\, and with enormous dedication\, in the ER. \nThe run is planned for Saturday\, February 27th. She is asking individuals\, groups or businesses to sponsor one of those 42kms for $50 each. The money raised will go towards the hospital foundation’s Health Care Professions Recruitment and Retention Fund\, to support those hard working staff that race each day to provide the best patient care.” \nYou can also make a donation at chcfoundation.com. \n
