The Annual Book Sale at the Four Fathers Memorial Library is on this week. Thursday from 10-8, Friday 10-5 and Saturday 10-5. There are bargains galore, and new stock added daily. Stuff a library bag for $10. Proceeds help support Cumberland Public Libraries.

The 2019 Amherst Cookie Crawl is back from noon Friday December 6th until 5 and Saturday Dec 7th. Buy a ticket, and exchange it for a one-gallon cookie tin to fill with cookies from stores all over Amherst.  Only 100 tickets being sold, for $25 each. Get your tickets at...

The Amherst Masons are serving Breakfast Saturday Dec 7 from 7:30-10:30 at their hall on Lawrence Street. Eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage for $7. The breakfast is hosted by the Acacia Lodge #8.

The River Hebert District High School is hosting a Christmas Vendor Fair, Saturday Dec 7th from 9-noon. Admission is free. There will be vendor tables, a silent auction, face painting and balloon creations. The event is hosted by the River Hebert District School Girls Soccer team.

The Oxford Area Lionettes are holding their 25th Annual Christmas in the Park, Saturday December 7 from 10-2 at Trinity United Church. It will feature crafts and a Quiche and Dessert Café. Admission is free and there will be door prizes.  

The Amherst 50+ Club’s Christmas Tea and Craft and Bake Sale is Saturday Dec 7 from 10-2 at their hall on Croft Street. Sandwiches, dessert and beverage for $7.

The First Baptist Church’s Deck the Halls Christmas House Tour is Saturday December 7th from 2-7. Tickets are $20 and available at Buds to Blossoms, The Copper Tree Boutique or the office at 1st Baptist.

There’s a Snazzy Jazzy Christmas, Saturday Dec 7 from 6-10 in the CIBC Room at the Dr Carson and Marion Murray Community Center.
