There’s a Holiday Mixer Networking Event for small businesses, not for profits and entrepreneurs, Tuesday Dec 4 at Sackville Commons, 64 Main Street Sackville. It will run from 6:30-8:30. The Annual Springhill Christmas Parade, is Thursday Dec 6. The theme is Christmas Around the World. If you would like to enter a float call Heather Laurie at 902-763-3011.  

The first meeting for Relay For Life 2019 is Thursday Dec 6 at 6:30, in the heated room at the Amherst Stadium. If you would like to be part of an energetic team of volunteers organizing this year’s event, plan to attend or email fitness@cumberland.ymca.ca

All 7 Pugwash Area churches will be co-operating to recreate a Live Bethlehem, Friday Dec 7 from 6-8 at the Pugwash Farmers Market. There will be shepherds  to guide the sheep through the village, a blacksmith working the forge, Mary and Joseph with the animals in the stable, a heavenly choir, children’s activities and an Inn for warm drink. The event is free and everyone is welcome.

Sackville’s 6th Annual Emergency Services Parade of Lights is Sat Dec 8, starting at 6:30 from the Fire Station. All the emergency services vehicles will be decorated Christmas lights.

The Amherst Ramblers/ Amherst Toyota Toy Drive Hockey Game, is Sat Dec 8 at 7 at the Amherst Stadium. They will be collecting toys for Christmas For Kids, which helps make sure kids in Cumberland County have toys under the tree Christmas morning.

There will be a Country Gospel Music Night, Sunday Dec 9, at 7 at the Amherst Wesleyan Church. Musical guests include Bus 41 and LP Express. Admission is by donation, with proceeds to support the Christmas Wrap-up Community Blessing Project Dec 15th.
