Canadian Blood Services are holding Blood Drive Clinics, Monday Dec 3 and Tue Dec 4 from 1-3 and 5-8, at the Amherst Lions Center. This time Give Life in the Name of Someone Important to You. Honor Mitchell Richard to carry forward his wish to have people donate when possible. You can book your appointment now blood.ca, or drop in and give life Dec 3 and 4th at the Amherst lions Center.

A CWL Christmas Merchandise Bingo will be held Sunday at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Springhill. There will be regular games and specials. All books $5. Doors open at 6, bingo starts at 7. The canteen will be open with turkey burgers, apple crisp and fudge. All Proceeds from this Bingo go towards filling St Vincent de Paul Christmas Boxes. All 7 Pugwash Area churches will be co-operating to recreate a Live Bethlehem, Friday Dec 7 from 6-8 at the Pugwash Farmers Market. There will be shepherds to guide the sheep through the village, a blacksmith working the forge, Mary and Joseph with the animals in the stable, a heavenly choir, children’s activities and an Inn for warm drink. The event is free and everyone is welcome.

The Amherst Ramblers/ Amherst Toyota Toy Drive Hockey Game, is Sat Dec 8 at 7 at the Amherst Stadium. They will be collecting toys for Christmas For Kids, which helps make sure kids in Cumberland County have toys under the tree Christmas morning.
