Chignecto/Glooscap ATV Poker Rally
The Chignecto/Glooscap ATV Poker Rally is Saturday at the Chignecto Game Sanctuary. Meet at the warming shelter on the Boars Back Road, for registration between 9 and 11. The cost is $20 per hand, and there will be prizes for the top 3 hands. A canteen will be open at the warming shelter as well, with hamburgers, hot dogs and lobster rolls. You will be able to buy cooked lobster to take home.

The Amherst and Area Tae Kwon-do Parents Association are holding their Christmas Market and Soup and Chilli Luncheon, Sat Dec 1 from 10-2, at the Amherst Lions Center. Tables are $15, with the rental fee due by Nov 1. Proceeds from table rentals go to Christmas For Kids. JC’s Competitive Team will be serving hamburger soup or chilli with dessert and tea or coffee for $10.

There’s a Christmas Tea and Sale Saturday 10-1 at the Brookdale Community Hall . Lunch is soup and dessert for $8. There will be a bake table, a craft table and new to you Christmas decorations for sale. The event is hosted by the Brookdale Sewing Circle.

The Oxford Area Lionettes are holding their 24th Annual Christmas in the Park, Sat Dec 1, at Trinity United Church on Main Street. There will be crafts and a Dessert Café from 10-2. Admission is free and there will door prizes.

A CWL Christmas Merchandise Bingo will be held Sunday at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Springhill. There will be regular games and specials. All books $5. Doors open at 6, bingo starts at 7. The canteen will be open with turkey burgers, apple crisp and fudge. All Proceeds from this Bingo go towards filling St Vincent de Paul Christmas Boxes.
