Let’s Get Active
The YMCA of Cumberland’s Let’s Get Active Program, is meant to get children active, socializing and learning about exercise. And it’s free for all everyone. For P-grade 5 the session starts Nov 23 and runs from 3:30-4:30. For grades 6-12 the session starts Nov 30 from 3:30-4:30. By attending, your name will be entered into a prize draw. Mount A Field Hockey, invites you to join them for their Wine Tasting Fundraiser, Friday night from 7-9 at Tweedie Hall. This event includes 4 flights of red wine, 4 flights of white wine, as well as light snacks. Tickets cost $35, and are available in the Mount Allison Student Union Building office or by contacting fieldhockey@mta.ca. Doors open at 6:30. Semi-formal attire is recommended. This event is 19+.

There’s a Christmas Bazaar at St Ann’s Church Hall in Westcock NB, Saturday from 9:30-11:30. They will have a variety of crafts, baking, new to you items and wreaths for sale. There will also be a café with beverages and sweet breads. Admission is free.

There’s a Christmas Market and Craft Sale Sat Nov 24 from 10-2 at Cumberland North Academy. There will be craftsm artisans, community vendors, food, a CNA bake sale, basket raffles, a 50/50 draw and music. Admission is by donation.

The 4th Annual Sackville Christmas Craft and Vendor Show is Saturday from 10-4 at the Sackville Legion. Admission is $1.00 or a donation to the food bank. They will also be selling tickets on a basket with items donated from their 40 vendors. Proceeds from the basket and admission go to the Beacon House (Sackville’s food bank).

The Cumberland Health Care Foundation and the annual Light The Way Campaign, is looking to raise over $200,000 for a diagnostic imaging C-Arm for the operating rooms at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center.Light the Way is Wednesday Nov 28 starting at 5:30. Ideal Protein and Amherst Pharmasave are presenting a Clothing Swap and Mocktail Party at Robins Donuts Thursday Nov 29, 7-8:30 at Robin’s Donuts. Swap clothing you no longer need and take home other pre-loved items. Anything left over, will be donated. There will be door prizes.
