The Annual Rummage and Yard Sale at Trinity St Stephens United Church is Sat Oct 27 from 9-11:30 at Heartz Hall. Don’t forget the Giant yard sale in the basement.

The Tantramar 681 Air Cadet Squadron will be holding a fund raising Spaghetti Dinner, Saturday from 4-6:30 at the Sackville Legion. The dinner prepared by President Doreen Richards and her volunteers will be served by Squadron members. Dinner, beverage and dessert is $12 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under.  

There’s a Fundraiser for Eileen Lewis, Sunday 2-4 at Winegarden Estate in Baie Verte. Music by Pic ‘N’ Grin, the Carter Girls and a special guest. There will also be a 50/50. Admission is a donation at the door.

The Ross Anderson Pharmachoice Teen Center 23rd Annual Much Music Halloween Teen Dance is Halloween night from 7-1. Admission is $8. The dance is open to Springhill youth attending Springhill Jr/Sr High. The permission slip deadline is Monday Oct 29 at noon.  

The Amherst Red Cross is looking for volunteers to help with the Equipment Loan Program. It could be as little as one 4 hour shift a week. If you want to give back to the community and meet new people, email angela.lohnes@redcross.ca or call 902-667-8794.

November is Canada Career Month. To kick off the month, the Nova Scotia Works Center (CANSA), will be holding an open house Thursday from 10-2, Find out about the variety of services they provide and enjoy some refreshments.

The Pugwash Transfer Station will be closed this Saturday and Monday. It will re-open on Tuesday.

The Annual Roast Chicken Dinner at the FPW Fire Hall in Port Greville is Saturday from 4-5:30. It’s $12 for adults. $6 for children. Proceeds to the Age of Sail Museum.
