The Mount Allison Student’s Union, Catalyst Mount Allison, Mount Allison Shinerama and the Town of Sackville and other community volunteers are presenting the 4th Annual Sackville Pride parade Friday Sept 28. There will guest speakers first in front of the University Capel at 5, followed by the raising of the rainbow flag. Then there’s a parade to Sackville Town Hall for another flag raising. There’s a Dance Party Fundraiser for Jimmie Dwyer, Fri Sept 28 from 8-2 at the Elmtree. In addition to the great live music, there will be a 50/50 and Live Auction. All proceeds to help support the Dwyer Family during treatment and recovery.

The Holy Family Parish Fall Fair and Market is coming up Sept 29 from 8-1 at the Holy family Parish Hall. There will be an indoor yard sale and market, a kids play zone, Shirley’s Boutique, a silent auction and basket draws. For lunch chilli and desserts. The Cumberland Y Service Club, the Amherst Y’s Mennetes and other community volunteers are hold a door to door Food Drive in Amherst, Saturday Sept 29 from 10-noon. If you are not going to be home, leave your food bank bag on your front step. (The Food Bank desperately needs Kraft Dinner, Apple Juice, Peanut Butter, Jam, Cheese Whiz, Instant Coffee, White and Brown Sugar, Canned Meat, Toilet Tissue, Deodorant, Baby Food, Canned Fruit.)

The Highland AME Church is holding a Turkey Supper Saturday from 4-6. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for those 12 and under. You can eat there or take it home, and there will be free delivery within town limits. Call 902-669-0965 for tickets.

There’s a Church Supper at Wesley St Matthews United Church in Pugwash Saturday from 4-6. They will be serving meat loaf and potato scallop with apple crisp for dessert. The cost is $12 for adults, $6 for 6-12 year olds and those under 5 eat free. Proceeds are for the church.
