The Nova Scotian Institute of Science is hosting an online event, the Evolution of the Oxford Sinkhole, Monday Dec 7, from 7:30-8:30. Aerial imagery of the region shows a distinct band of ponds and lakes that reflect an underlying sinkhole laden terrain. Mapping the characteristics of the sinkhole belt is critical to understanding the associated risks to the public and infrastructure. There will be 3 Christmas Services at Christ Church Anglican this year, 4:30 and 8 on Christmas Eve, and 10 on Christmas Day. Anyone is welcome to attend, however you have to sign up in advance. If you have travelled between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, please do not present to the Emergency Department at the Sackville Memorial Hospital or the Moncton Hospital for non-urgent health care needs. This is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Horizon facilities. The Government of New Brunswick updated its emergency order to state that unless exempt, travellers entering New Brunswick are required to self-isolate for 14 days.
