Shinimicas Cemetery Society, Annual Church Service
The Shinimicas Cemetery Society, will be holding its Annual Church Service. At the former Shinimicas United Church, Sunday July 29 at 3. Lowery MacLeod will be conducting the service. A collection will go toward the maintenance of the Shinimicas cemetery.

Join the Red Cross for Volunteer Recruitment Day. Tuesday Aug 7 from 9-4 at their office in Suite B at 16 Church Street. Meet the volunteers, and see what the Red Cross does and learn about the ways to become involved. The Red Cross is hoping to increase their teams by 20 new volunteers.

The Town of Amherst is offering a free Introduction to Track and Field Meet for children 9 and up, Sat Aug 11 at 10 at Rotary Park. Tennis Nova Scotia is presenting a youth Rogers Rookie Tour, Monday Aug 13 from 11-1 at Lions Park Tennis Court. Players must be able to sustain a basic rally. Registration fee is $5 and tennis rackets will be provided. In the evening Tennis NS will be leading high energy games for adults from 6-8.
