The 27th Anniversary Cumberland Car Club Car Show is Sunday June 24 from 9-4 at the Robbs Complex. If you want to participate, it’s $5 per vehicle. To see the show it’s $2 or $5 for the family. For more information, call Bill at 902-667-2676.

There will be a VON Cumberland Musical Event at the Music Barn in Sackville, Sunday June 24 at 1:30. Among the entertainers will be Derailed, Mike Blakeney and Drew Moore, Joe Doucette and Lisa Briggs, Slim Pickens, Pic n Grin and more. There will be door prizes, a 50/50 and a BBQ. All money raised to VON charitable programs.

Canadian Blood Services will hold blood donor clinics Monday and Tuesday at the Amherst Lions Center. Drop in, or book an appointment at blood.ca There is an urgent need for new donors.

The 18th CANSA Annual General Meeting is Friday June 29 noon-1, at Christ Church Parish Hall. Guest speaker will be Natasha Gray, Program Administration Officer with Nova Scotia Works. If you are planning to attend, call CANSA at 902-661-1509 ext 0, no later than June 25.

The Amherst First Baptist Church is holding a Lobster Roll Luncheon, Wednesday from 11-1:30 in front of the church. The cost is $20.  

The Town of Amherst is hosting a Tie-Dye Night Wednesday from 6-7:30 at Dickey Park. Bring your own t-shirt. Some white t-shirts will be provided, while supplies last.

The Cumberland County Museum has a 50/50 draw fundraiser the last Thursday of the month. Only 500 tickets and you could win up to $500 monthly. Tickets are $5 per month and only 200 are available.. To get your ticket drop into the museum, call 902-667-2561 or email manager@cumberlandcountymuseum.com  50% of all funds raised go to the museum.

This Thursday thru Sunday, the Atlantic Canadian Military History Association War Encampment will be going on at the Cumberland County Museum. Get to know some of our war vets. Take a tour of the museum. There will be a BBQ Saturday at noon and a movie that night at 9.
