The Town of Amherst is kicking off summer this Friday at Dickey Park. The Town and the Amherst Police Dapartment will be holding a free community bike rodeo between 5 and 7. A Trail Flow Portable Park will also be set up, to simulate the elements found on mountain bike trails, so bring your bike. Atlantic Kite Festival will be putting on a kite flying demonstration from 5-8, and you can fly one too. There will be a Luau Dance…

The 23rd Annual Kidney Foundation Golf Tournament is Sat June 23 at the Amherst Golf Club. Registration fee is $75 for Amherst Golf Club members, $115 for non-members. The Amherst Air Cadets will be holding a bottle drive Saturday from 9-noon in Amherst. You can also drop off your bottles and cans from 8:30-11:30 at the old Zellers location at the Amherst Center. Funds raised will go toward their trip to attend Remembrance Day ceremonies in Ottawa.

Little Ray's Reptiles will be at the Wentworth Recreation Center this Saturday at 10. This is their first show ever in Wentworth. Bring the family. Prices are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children under 12, Family of 4 $20.00. Tickets can be purchased online on the Wentworth Recreation Center Facebook page or at the door.

Trail Flow Porta Park will be in Springhill Saturday from 3-5, at the Dr Carson and Marion Murray Community Center. The park simulates the elements found on real mountain bike trails, and is designed for riders of all skill levels. The event is free.
