Autumn House presents Pride Movie Night, Tue June 12 at 7 at the Four Fathers Memorial Library. It’s the summer of 1984 and much of blue-collar Great Britain is on strike. For one tiny Welsh village, the strike brings unexpected visitors- a group of London-based activists who decide to raise money to support the strikers’ families and want to make their donation in person. The grades 7 and 8 Concert Bands and Choir will hold their concert at the EB Chandler gymnasium on Tuesday June 12 at 7:00 p.m. Donations at the door will gladly be accepted at the concert.

The Cumberland Y Service Club presents the 9th Annual Cross Border Dickey Park Children’s Fun Run, Sat June 16 from 10-1 at Dickey Park. Families with children 3-12 are invited to participate. Entry if free, but you have to register by Wed June 13 at the Y. Medals will be awarded to all participants. If you make a donation to the Jumpstart Program, you could win a $120 bicycle voucher from Canadian Tire.

The Town of Sackville will be holding a Mobile Eco-Depot/Household Hazarardous Waste Depot Wednesday and Thursday June 13 and 14th from 12-8 at the Tantramar Veterns Memorial Civic Center The following items will be accepted: Computer towers, servers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, mouse, scanners, printers, fax machines, VCR’s, DVD players, stereos, calculators, telephones, pagers, typewriters, audio/video equipment, computer cords, Batteries, LED bulbs, motor oil, paint, etc. The following will not be accepted as E-waste: Televisions, microwaves, any type of appliance (toasters,…

Cumberland Pride is holding a Coffee House, Thur June 14 from 6:30-9:30 at Art of Eating Deli. It will be an evening of entertainment, coffee and conversation. Admission is free, but donations to Cumberland Pride would be gladly appreciated. For more information email cumberlandpride@outlook.com
