Tickets are on sale now for a trip to the Royal International Tattoo, June 29 in Halifax. The cost is $85, which includes transportation and admission to the Tattoo. Buy your tickets at Amherst Town Hall, 8:30-4:30 mon-Fri. Only 40 tickets are being sold.

The YMCA of Cumberland is offering a free Budgeting 101 Workshop, Tuesday June 5 from 5:30-7 in the Community Room. Contact the Y at 902-667-9112 to register. Ask about child minding when you call.

Business plans will be pitched and over $10,000 in cash prizes will be awarded, at the Cumberland Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge Awards, Wed June 6 at 6 at the Community Credit Union Business Innovation Center. You’re invited to watch. Admission is free.

The Cumberland Smile and Shine program is holding it’s Annual General meeting, Tue at 6:30 at 141 Victoria Street. Use the Acadian Street entrance.  

There’s a free Pickleball Open House for Adults Wed from 10-11:30 and 6:30-8 at the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Center. All equipment is supplied and experienced pickleballers will be on hand to help you.

The EB Chandler and ARHS Stage Bands will hold their concert at the Susan Taylor Theatre at ARHS on Thursday June 7 at 7:00 p.m. The grades 7 and 8 Concert Bands and Choir will hold their concert at the EB Chandler gymnasium on Tuesday June 12 at 7:00 p.m. Donations at the door will gladly be accepted at all concerts.

The Knights of Columbus are serving Breakfast this Saturday 8-11 at their hall on Robie Street. The cost is $6 per person. This will be their last breakfast til fall.

If you would like to know more about the Oxford Community Garden, there is a Community Garden Kickoff Sat June 9 from 9-noon at the Oxford Lions Center. There will be displays and information on planting and gardening and a BBQ. For more information, call 902-447-2798.
