The Air Force Association is holding a Roast Beef Dinner, Sunday Nov 26 at 4, at the Air Force Association. The cost is $13 and take-outs are available. For more information and tickets call 902-667-9262.

The River Hebert Santa Claus Parade is Sunday Nov 26. Line up at the River Hebert Baptist Church is at 5. Non-perishable food items will be collected along the parade route for the food bank. Santa will take your letters at the Fire Hall, where there will be cookies and hot drinks for all. For more information, call Darrell Fagan at 902-251-2490.

The Cumberland County Seniors Safety Program will be offering a short Safe Food Handing Course, Tuesday Nov 28 from 9:45-12:30 at the Oxford Pioneers Club in Oxford. The course will be offered free to people who handle and prepare food for public events such as church groups. To pre-register call 902-667-7484.

The Bridge Adult Service Center is holding a Luncheon, Wednesday Nov 29 from 11:30-1. They will be serving soup and chilli with rolls and dessert for $8.

The Four Fathers Library’s Annual Giant Book Sale is Nov 30-Dec 2. New stock will be put out every day. All proceeds support Cumberland Public Libraries.

The Cumberland Singers present The Sounds of Christmas, Friday Dec 1 at 7:30 at the Wentworth Recreation Center. It’s an evening of contemporary and traditional Christmas music, with proceeds to Chalice-Child Care International. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

The 2017 Deck the Halls Christmas House Tour, returns Sat Dec 2, and hosted by the Amherst First Baptist Church. Tickets are $20 and available at the church office, at Buds to Blossoms and the Copper Tree Boutique.
