Applications have opened up for the Springhill Lion's Club’s Toys for Tots campaign. The program for low income families with children from infants to age-15. They will be taking registrations until December 4th. You can apply by calling 902-297-1012. Christmas wishes should be under $30 per child. With the cancellation of most local parades due to the pandemic, Cumberland County has a way for families to find some holiday cheer. They have developed the Cumberland Parade of Lights, so residents, businesses, and organizations can highlight their decorating efforts. An interactive map that will be available on December 1st will allow people to travel to the various displays in the safety of their own social bubble. There will be no Christmas Parade in Oxford this year. Instead, the town will be celebrating with a Holiday Season Light Up, Friday Dec 4 at 6, with special events at the Wild Blueberry Center. The All Saints Christmas Bazaar is Tuesday Nov 17 from 3-5 at the All Saints Parish Hall in Springhill. It will be a very covid Christmas with safety protocals in place. They will have crafts, pantry, jams/pickles, raffles and like new jewelry. They will also have turkey burgers. You have to pre-order them by calling 902-597-2464.

Coats for Cumberland is collecting donations of new or gently used coats and outdoor winter gear for adults and children. The Cumberland County Museum Society is hosting Christmas at Grove Cottage, Sat and Sun Nov 21-22. There will be a Victorian Christmas tea and artisan sale from 10-6. Timed, ticketed entry will ensure you have lots of space to comfortably shop at the nine artisan tables located throughout the museum.
