Cumberland Y -Jr. NBA Program
The YMCA of Cumberland is offering the Jr. NBA program for kids ages 5-7. The 12 week program, is developed by NBA basketball operations and a team of experts in child development, physical literacy and basketball fundamentals. Games are modified to be age appropriate, simple and fun! The program begins Sat. Nov 4 for 12 weeks. Registration deadline is Nov 1. The All Saints Hospital Auxiliary Annual Breakfast is Saturday Nov 4 from 8:30-11:30 at the Springhill Legion. There will also be a silent auction. The cost for adults is $8 and $4 for children. All proceeds will buy much needed equipment for hospital patients.

There’s a Benefit for Peter Melanson, who is recovering from a stroke, Sat Nov 4 from 9-1 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 14 in River Hebert. There will be a silent auction, and you could also win a $50 gas card and 10 pounds of lobster. Admission is a donation at the door, and you will have a chance to win a 43” smart tv.

CARMA, Amherst and Area, is holding a pancake Breakfast, Saturday from 8-1 at the Amherst Masonic Hall. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Funds raised support a Trap-Neuter-Release program and helps provides rescue, care and food for abandoned and stray cats.
