Halloween Spooktacular Costume Dance

The Amherst Cheer Parents Association is holding a Halloween Spooktacular Costume Dance at the Amherst Fire Hall, Sat Oct 28 from 8-1. The dance will feature Naked On South Albion. There will be a best costume contest, a 50/50 draw and silent auction. There will be free shuttle service within town limits. Tickets are $15 or 2 for $25. Silent Movie “Phantom of the Opera

Music at Trinity presents Silent Movie “Phantom of the Opera, Sunday Oct 29 from 7-9 at Trinity St Stephens United Church. Organist Shawn Whynot will provide a spooktacular music soundtrack for the 1925 silent scary movie. Popcorn and bottled water will be sold.

Festival of Trees Call For Decorators

The United Way of Cumberland County is presenting Festival of Trees, November 17 and 18 at the Amherst Center. It’s a celebration of the Christmas tree. The highlight will be auction of decorated Christmas trees. If you like decorating and would like to donate a decorated tree to be auctioned off at the Festival, call 902-667-2203 or 902-694-2411.

Halloween Dance

SPOOKARAMA will be holding a Halloween Dance on Halloween night at the Oxford Regional Education Center. The dance is free, with money raised to pay for event expenses. Cumberland Y -Jr. NBA Program

The YMCA of Cumberland is offering the Jr. NBA program for kids ages 5-7. The 12 week program, is developed by NBA basketball operations and a team of experts in child development, physical literacy and basketball fundamentals.
