2017 Amherst Zombie Walk For Cancer
The 2017 Amherst Zombie Walk For Cancer is Oct 28 from noon-2. This year’s route will be the South Albion Street area. The cost is $10 per person or $20 for families. All proceeds to the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. Check the Zombie Walk 2017 For Cancer facebook page.

The Murray Corner United Church will be holding the 70th Annual Turkey Supper Saturday. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. Preschoolers eat free. Tickets go on sale at 3:30, with dinner at 4. Take-outs are available. Proceeds to the church.

The Amherst Cheer Parents Association is holding a Halloween Spooktacular Costume Dance at the Amherst Fire Hall, Sat Oct 28 from 8-1. The dance will feature Naked On South Albion. There will be a best costume contest, a 50/50 draw and silent auction. There will be free shuttle service within town limits. Tickets are $15 or 2 for $25. The United Way of Cumberland County is presenting Festival of Trees, November 17 and 18 at the Amherst Center. It’s a celebration of the Christmas tree.
