Spooky Science-Springhill Library
There’s Spooky Science at the Springhill Library, Thursday Oct 26 from 3-4. It’s for ages P-6. Be sure to wear clothes that can get dirty, because you will be channeling your inner Mad Scientist, with experiments that will thrill and chill you. The Cumberland County Museum is holding a Scary Movie Night, featuring Poltergeist, Friday night from 6:30-9. There will be other activities including games, ghost stories and tours of the museum. There is no cost, but donations are welcome to pay for other special events at the Museum.

The Parrsboro Regional High Safe Grads will be hosting Haunted Ship, at the Ships Company Theatre, Friday and Saturday Oct 27-28 from 7-9:30. Admission is $5.

The Anglican Parish of Westmorland will be holding an All You Can Eat Breakfast on Saturday, October 28th from 7-10 at St. Mark's Hall, Mt. Whatley ( just 1 km up Route 16 from Aulac ). There will be ham, bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, toast, tea, coffee and juice. Admission $8 for adults and those 6- 12, $4, under 6 free. Take-outs are also available. The ACW will also have a bake table.

The Amherst Masons are serving breakfast this Saturday from 7:30-10:30 at their Hall on Lawrence Street. They will have eggs with bacon or sausages and hashbrowns. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for 12 and under.

The Cumberland Joint Services Management Authority will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste event and Community Shred-it event, Saturday Oct 28 from 9-12 at the Amherst Fire Hall. Acids, areosols, antifreeze, herbicides, pesticides pool cleaner and propane tanks will be accepted. And bring your confidential documents for shredding. For more information call 902-667-5141.
