The 10th Annual Pumpkins For Poverty is Fri Oct 13 from 11-2 in Victoria Square in downtown Amherst. Get a free pumpkin, while they last, with a donation of cash or food to the Amherst Food Bank.

The 14th annual Sackville Relay for Life is Friday, October 13th from 6-9pm, at the Academic Quad on the Mount A campus. Registration is at 5:30. There is an option to do a 5 or 10 km fundraiser night run at 6:30 around Sackville . Registration for that is $10. There is a survivor reception before the relay. The Amherst 50+ Club’s Fall Fair is Saturday Oct 14 from 8-3 at thier hall on Croft Street. You’ll find a craft table, bake table, vegetable table, white elephant table and Full Pantry. They will have a door prize and lunch, with turkey burgers and pie and tea or coffee for $6.

The Zonta Fibre Arts Bazaar is Saturday Oct 14 from 10-4 at the Colonel James Layton Ralston Armoury. You will find hooked mats,quilts,yarns, inspired creations and fibre arts supplies as well as holiday gifts and ideas. For lunch stop by the Zonta Café. In partnership with the 154 Amherst Anson Air Cadets, admission is $2, with children under 5 admitted free.
