PICK ‘N’ GRIN, along with The Carter Girls are presenting a Gospel and Country Music Concert at Wesley St. Matthew’s United Church in Pugwash, Sunday October 1st at 7. Doors open at 6:15. Admission is “A Free Will Offering”, with free refreshments after the concert. Proceeds for Church Purposes.

Cumberland Adult Network for Upgrading, CANU, offers a free GED study program. If you need to upgrade your reading, writing, social studies, science or math skills, you will get instruction and support. The GED is free to write. The Park Bench Players will be performing “With a Little Help From My Friends”, Tuesday Oct 3 at 7, in the Susan Taylor Theatre at Amherst Regional High. The Park Bench Players are a national award-winning group of individuals who live with mental illness. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.

Cumberland Public Libraries is offering the CART Program, Children and Adults Learning Together. It’s a fun and educational early literacy program for families with preschoolers. CART is open to children 3-5, with parent or caregiver. It’s free, but does require an 8 week commitment, and space is limited. Coats for Cumberland is back. You can drop off gently used winter outerwear at Sobeys, the Amherst Stadium and NSCC in Amherst. At the Coop in Parrsboro, Oxford Town Hall and NSCC in Springhill. The Amherst Store will be at the Amherst Centre Mall November 17th,  the Parrsboro Store will be at St.George's Anglican Church November 10th and the Springhill Store will be at the NSCC Springhill Site November 23rd. There will also be stores in Pugwash, Wentworth and Oxford.

Technicians will ensure your car seat is properly fitted to your car and will show you how to install it.
