Masonic Breakfast
The Amherst Masons are serving breakfast this Saturday, from 7:30-10:30 at their hall on Lawrence Street. Eggs, sausage or bacon and hash browns will be on their menu for $6 for adults and $4 for children. Take-outs are also available.

CARMA Amherst and Area Fall Fair is going on Saturday from 8-2 at the Amherst Lions Den. Tables will include crafts, books, preserves, Christmas, fall, Halloween, pet gifts, jewelry, baked goods and yard sale items. There will also be a BBQ. If you bring a food donation for the rescue cats, you could win the Special Draw.

The Amherst Fire Department is hosting A Night of Comedy Sat Sept 30 at 7 with headliner Mike MacDonald and hosted by Marc Sauve. Tickets for this event are only $10. With Glowing Hearts, a new musical, about the struggle between Joseph Howe and Charles Tupper over Confederation, runs Saturday at 7 and Sunday at 1 at the Oxford Capitol Theatre.
