Whack and Hack Classic
The Whack and Hack Classic is Saturday at Bacons Par 3, with a shotgun start at 1. It’s a four man scramble event. The cost is $100 per team or $30 per individual. This Sunday at 3, Trinity-St. Stephen’s United Church welcomes nationally acclaimed women’s vocal ensemble Xara Choral Theatre and renowned author Ami McKay present an inter-disciplinary performance called The Hours Turn to Nothing. The 17th Annual Sackville Fall Fair is Sept 14-17. There will be a revamped fireworks display an a rejuvenated Family Day at the Doncaster Farm. Among the other activities the Annual Parade, Show and Shine, Bubble Soccer, Anything That Floats Race, Sandcastle building, free outdoor music concerts day and night an more. Registration for Girl Guides is underway in Amherst. This year Guides will be offering Sparks, Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders. Sparks, Guides and Brownies meet upstairs at Heartz Hall at Trinity St. Stephens, Mondays at 6:30. Brownies meet Thursday’s at 6:30. You can register online as well at girlguides.ca The fee is $100. The Sackville Firefighters 12th Annual Truck Fundraiser draw is coming up during the Sackville Fall Fair, Saturday Sept 16 at 7. They to have to sell over 2,800 tickets to make it a draw otherwise it will go to a 50/50 draw.
