Gordon Food Service will be will be holding a Giant Yard Sale/BBQ/Bake Sale & Raffle, Saturday, June 3 from 8-noon, at 38 Industrial Park Drive. This event is to raise funds to support the company’s humanitarian initiative, where employees will be travelling to Lusaka, Zambia, to help build a 10-room home for expectant and new mothers. Sat June 3, from 10-4, the Cumberland County Riders ATV Club, along with the RCMP, CN Police Service, EHS and Fire Departments will be at the Amherst Center to raise awareness surrounding ATV safety issues. Cumberland County’s First Annual Pride parade is Saturday June 3 from 1-3. Meet at Victoria Square for a kick-off celebration at 1:30. The parade begins at 2, using the same route as the Big Block Walk. Walkers, cyclists, strollers and wagons are welcome. There will be vendors and entertainment following the parade in Victoria Square.
