The Town of Amherst is holding a free, full day  Walkability Workshop Thursday June 1 at the Community Credit Union  Business Innovation Center. What makes a community walkable and what are the benefits. Pre-register by emailing Shali,  shali.manuel@novascotia.ca  

Springhill Community Clean-up is Thursday June 1, from noon to 3. Meet in the side parking lot at the Community Center. All you will need will be supplied, and there will be a Free BBQ on site.

There is a Turkey Burger, Strawberry Shortcake Take out Sale Friday June 2 from 11-2, at St John the Baptist Church Basement 42 Chapel Street, Springhill. More than 200 female barbershop singers throughout Atlantic Canada will be in Sackville, June 1-4 for their Annual Area Convention and Contests.
