The Shriners Annual Lobster Supper is Sat May 27 at the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Center. Social hour is at 5, with dinner served at 7. You have a choice of 4 lobsters or BBQ chicken, with strawberry shortcake for dessert. You can it in or take it out. Tickets are $50 each. The next gathering of Write-In Joggins will be held at the Joggins Fossil Centre on Sunday May 28th from 10-2.  If you are a writer bring your laptop, tablet, or simply a pen and paper and write to your hearts’ content while overlooking the beautiful Cumberland Basin and the Joggins Fossil Cliffs UNESCO. The Officers and Cadets of the 154 Amherst Anson Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, invite you to the Squadron 75th Annual Ceremonial Review, Sunday May 28  at 1 at the Colonel James Layton Ralston Armoury. The Sunrise Renwick United Church in Amherst Head is holding their Annual Lobster or Ham Take-out Supper, Saturday June 3. You have 3 choices, ham for $15, 1 lobster for $20 or 2 lobsters for $30. May is Asian Heritage Month in Canada. Tuesday May 30, from 2:45-4:15, Maggie’s Place and Hee Yeon Son, will celebrate Korean culture, by playing games, creating crafts and enjoying story time. This event is free and for 5-12 year olds. Call Maggie’s Place at 902-667-7250 to register.
