There’s an East Coast Music Show, Sat May 20 at 7:30 at the Capitol Theatre in Oxford. Among the performers will be the Cobequid Funtones, Silver Rose, the Terrio Sisters, Lawry and Mary MacLeod, Claire Canning, Jim Scopie, Elaine Cook, The Rollickers and Leah Killen. To serve the residents of Cumberland County better, the Municipality of the County of Cumberland will be moving from the former Springhill Town Hall to the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Center effective Tuesday. All tax payments, water bills, permits and general inquiries will now be processed at the Community Center 8:30-4:30. Community Services and Probation Services on Thursdays are unchanged, and Springhill RCMP hours and operations will remain unchanged. Autumn House and the Sexual Violence Outreach Program a hosting a Sexual Violence-The Bystander Effect Intervention Question and Answer Event, Tue May 23 from 6:30-8:30, at the Community Credit Union Business Center. Bringing in the Bystander states that everyone in the community has a role to play in ending sexual violence. Heather Blackburn, who is a trained facilitator in the Bringing in the Bystander Program, will be the guest speaker.

Cumberland Pride invites you to the PRIDE Flag Raising Ceremony, Wed May 24 from 4-5 at the Cumberland Y. There will be a few guest speakers and a celebration afterwards.
