The Happy Neighbour’s Club will be holding a two day Yard and Bake Sale (while they last) Friday Apr 28 from 4-8 and Sat Apr 29 from 8-noon at the Leicester Fire Hall. Proceeds are to the Happy Neighbour’s Club.

The Amherst Masons are holding another Breakfast, Sat Apr 29 from 7:30-10:30, at their Temple on Lawrence St. Adults $6 and children under 12 $4.

The Joggins Legion is serving Breakfast Saturday from 8-11. They will have bacon, sausages, eggs and pancakes on the menu. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.

There will be a Yard and Bake Sale at the St. Ann’s Church Hall, Sat Apr 29 from 8-11:30.

The Annual Spring Rummage/Yard Sale and Bazaar, is Sat Apr 29 from 9-11:30 at Heartz Hall at Trinity St Stephens. Household items, footwear, clothing, outerwear, books and much more will be for sale and there is a basement full of yard sale items. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be for sale in the canteen. Admission is free.

The Cumberland Y Service Club, the Amherst Y’s Menettes and other community volunteers, will be holding a food drive Sat Apr 29 from 10-noon in Amherst. If you are not going to be home, leave your food bank donation on your front step.

There’s a Mixed Dart Tournament, Sat Apr 29 starting at 10 at the Air Force Club on Havelock St. For more information call 902-667-9262.

The 30th Annual Classic Beef Show and Sale, is Saturday, Apr 29. The show starts at 11 at the Maritime Beef Test Station in Nappan. The Roast Beef Dinner is at the Amherst Curling Club at 6, the happy hour at 5. The sale will follow the dinner. Then there’s a dance with Liquid Courage until 1.
