The Grey Cup

The Grey Cup is coming to Sackville, Sun Feb 19 from 5:30-7:30 at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Center. See the oldest trophy in North American professional sports. There will be guest speakers, video highlights and a chance to get your picture taken with the Grey Cup. Admission is free.

Nova Scotia Heritage Day-Aboriginals

Aboriginal elders and spiritual leaders, will assist the Joggins Fossil Centre in celebrating Nova Scotia Heritage Day on Mon Feb 20. beginning at 11:00 a.m. For Canada’s 150th Anniversary Heritage Day 2017 celebrates the Mi’kmaq culture and the many accomplishments of the Mi’kmaq people. Cues For Kids

This year’s Cues For Kids is Fri Feb 24 from 8:30-1 at Dooley’s in Amherst. Tickets are $20, which includes a beverage, pizza and pool. You could also win a $500 travel voucher, luggage and other travel items. There will be local entertainment from 8:30-11:30, then a DJ til 1. Tickets are available at the Cumberland Y front desk.

Winter Border Blast

The 2nd Annual Winter Border Blast is Friday and Saturday Feb 24-25 from the Coastal Inn in Sackville. Friday there is a run to Cape Pele for supper. Saturday there is a Poker Run to the Memramcook Lake Shelter, where there will be food, an evening of entertainment and a 50/50.
