The Sexual Health Center of Cumberland County is holding a March Break Media Camp at Amherst Regional High next Monday thru Thursday. It’s open to ages 11-14. Lots going on at the Springhill Library during March Break. Drop in all week for the I Spy Scavenger Hunt. Have your name registered to win some great prizes. And Domino Derby is also going on all week. Create some awesome tracks and knock them all down. Both events are free and are for all ages.

The Springhill Parish Hall will be holding a St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon Tuesday from noon -2. On the menu Dublin Coddie (irish stew with bacon, sausages, potatoes, carrots and onions), soda bread, green punch, Irish coffee and cake with apple topping. The cost is $10.

The next meeting of the Cumberland County Genealogical Society is Tuesday March 17 at  7 in the Francis Smith boardroom at the Amherst Police Station. Guest speaker Janie Oickle, will discuss how she located a lost branch in her Goodwin tree through DNA. It’s an open meeting and you are welcome to join them.

Learn 2 Lead and the St John Ambulance are hosting a Home Alone Course offered at the Oxford Arena, Thursday March 19 from 9-11:30. It’s designed for 9-11 year olds, who are just starting to stay home by themselves for a short period of time. The course will cover basic safety tips, home safety procedures, when to call 911, how to get emergency help, healthy eating, fighting boredom, overcoming fears and fire safety.
