Pancake Supper

Johnny Cash Food bank

Johnny Cash’s birthday was Feb 26. The Man in Black wore black for the poor and beaten down, living in the hopeless hungry side of town. Johnny loved bologna sandwiches. The Pugwash CO OP store will be offering shoppers free fried bologna sandwiches to all shoppers, Wednesday Feb 26 from 11-2. You will also get a piece of Johnny Cash’s birthday cake with black icing. Just bring a donation for the Open Hamper Food Bank in Pugwash.

Show Me The Money

Learn 2 Lead Cumberland is hosting Show Me The Money, Thursday Feb 27 from 10-4:30 at the Oxford Legion. This workshop will look at how volunteers and community organizations can make the most of the resources they already have, and how they can find new financial resources to help them accomplish their goals. The cost is $20 per person with lunch included. Registration is required and payments should be made in advance. Email mherrett@cumberlandcounty.ns.ca for payments and information.

Denim and Diamonds Gala

Tickets are now on sale for the Denim and Diamonds Gala, Saturday May 2 at 7 at Amherst Regional High. Have your picture taken in the custom photo booth, dig for treasures at the Diamond Dig, nibble on the hors d’oeuvres, bid in the silent auction items and the short but sweet live auction, and dance to the music of Second Toe. All You Can eat Breakfast

The Port Elgin Regional Home and School Committee will be hosting an All You Can Eat Breakfast Saturday,  Feb 29th from 7-10 at Saint Mark’s Hall in Mount Whatley N.B.. The cost for adults $10, kids 6-12 years $5 and under 6 eat free. There will also be a bake sale table and a 50/50. Proceeds for the Port Elgin School.

The Maritime Voice

The Cumberland Singers present The Maritime Voice at the Wentworth Recreation Center. The competition is open to ages 15-50. First place gets $300, 2nd $200 and 3rd $100. .
