Coldest Night of the Year
The YMCA of Cumberland is hosting the Coldest Night of the Year, Saturday Feb 22. It’s a family friendly walk, that raises money for charities serving hungry, homeless and hurting people in our community. To register go to CNOY.org or contact the YMCA of Cumberland at 902-667-9112.

There is a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at All Saints Parish Hall on Main Street in Springhill, Tuesday Feb 25 from 4-6. Pancakes, sausages, beans, brown bread, tea, coffee & cake. Johnny Cash’s birthday was Feb 26. The Man in Black wore black for the poor and beaten down, living in the hopeless hungry side of town. Johnny loved bologna sandwiches. The Pugwash CO OP store will be offering shoppers free fried bologna sandwiches to all shoppers, Wednesday Feb 26 from 11-2. You will also get a piece of Johnny Cash’s birthday cake with black icing. Just bring a donation for the Open Hamper Food Bank in Pugwash.
