Amherst’s Community Christmas Dinner is back for a 13th year, Wednesday Dec 25 from 2-4 at the Amherst Lions Club. The dinner is supported this year by, Archway Insurance, Lawtons, the Allen Auto Group, Sobeys, Jorgensen-Bickerton, Maltby-Casey Investment Group, DGF Realty, the Old Warehouse Cafe and the Town of Amherst.

CART, Children and Adults Reading Together, a program to introduce your pre-school age children to reading, begins in January at Cumberland Public Libraries in Cumberland County. CART is open to children 2-4 with their parent, grandparent or caregiver. The Program is free, but does require an 8-week commitment. Space is limited so contact your local library in Amherst, Springhill, Oxford and Springhill for more information, and register.

Cumberland County Minor Hockey is offering FREE hockey. Any new players aged 4, 5 or 6 who would like to join hockey in 2020, can now play the rest of this season for free.
