The 2019 Amherst Cookie Crawl is back from noon Friday December 6th until 5 and Saturday Dec 7th. Buy a ticket, and exchange it for a one-gallon cookie tin to fill with cookies from stores all over Amherst. Only 100 tickets being sold, for $25 each. Sackville’s 5th Annual Christmas Tree lighting is Friday Dec 6 at Bill Johnstone Memorial Park. There will be holiday music and hot chocolate starting at 5:30, with Santa arriving at 6. Saturday it’s the 7th annual parade of Lights, leaving the Sackville Fire Hall at 6:30. The Emergency Service trucks will parade through the town with Christmas lights.

The River Hebert District High School is hosting a Christmas Vendor Fair, Saturday Dec 7th from 9-noon. Admission is free. There will be vendor tables, a silent auction, face painting and balloon creations. The event is hosted by the River Hebert District School Girls Soccer team.

The Oxford Area Lionettes are holding their 25th Annual Christmas in the Park, Saturday December 7 from 10-2 at Trinity United Church. It will feature crafts and a Quiche and Dessert Café. Admission is free and there will be door prizes.

There’s a Snazzy Jazzy Christmas, Saturday Dec 7 from 6-10 in the CIBC Room at the Dr Carson and Marion Murray Community Center. It will feature the music of Chris Brown Trio and Chelsea Atkinson and her band. There will be light refreshments. Proceeds support the Springhill Salvation Army Community Food Bank.

The Cumberland Singers presents The Sounds of Christmas, Saturday Dec 7 at 7:30 at the Wentworth Recreation Center. It’s an evening of traditional and contemporary Christmas music. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Proceeds to area food banks in Oxford, Pugwash and Springhill.
