Meagan’s Christmas Coffee House fundraiser
Megan McNutt will be hosting Meagan’s Christmas Coffee House fundraiser Saturday from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Springhill Baptist Church. Admission is $5 and includes coffee/tea and sweets. Enjoy the music of Dave Atkinson and Gerald Davis, the comedic stylings of Allison and Daniel Small, the humour of Mark Morgan, and more. All proceeds from the coffee house will go to support Megan's January 2020 Missions/Humintarian Aid trip to the Dominican Republic. Doors open 6:15pm.

The Ships Company Theater Christmas Concert is Saturday from 7-9:30. There will be a great lineup of local and regional talent including the return of the Boarding House Gang. During intermission, there will be a wreath auction, a cookie and fudge sale, and the bar will be open. Tickets available at Harrison's Home Hardware and Love, Jill Boutique. Tickets $20 general admission, $10 students. Kids under 10 get in free.

There’s a Christmas Bingo at the Oxford Legion, Sunday. Doors open at noon, bingo starts at 1. There will be a $300 jackpot, 16 prize games, 6 specials and much more.

The Joggins Fire Department is holding a Seniors Party Sunday from 1-4. There will be entertainment from Al Cooper and square dancers. Santa will visit and there will a lunch. The event is open to all area seniors.

There is a Christmas Merchandise Bingo, Sunday, at the Catholic Church Hall on Chapel Street in Springhill.Doors open at 6, with bingo at 7. There will be regular games, specials and jackpot. The canteen will be open with turkey burgers, apple crisp and fudge. If you would like to pre-order your burgers, call Cathy at 902-597-3923. Proceeds to St Vincent de Paul Christmas Boxes.

The Springhill Lions Club’s Toys For Tots is accepting applications, Monday through Wednesday, Nov 18-Dec 5, from 10-2, at 6 McFarlane Street, behind Foodland. Bring MSI cards for each child you are applying for and proof of income. Pick up day is Thursday Dec 19 from 10-2. Donations of new unwrapped gifts for Toy’s For Tot’s can be dropped off at the office on McFarlane Street or at All Saints Anglican Church. For more information call 902-297-1012.

You are invited to a Musical Christmas at St. Andrew’s Wesley United Church in Springhill. It’s Tuesday Dec. 3 at 7. It will feature the Cobequid Funtones, the Smith Sisters, Clare Canning, Leah Killen, Marg and Andrew Lloyd and the St. Andrews-Wesley United Church choir. Admission is by donation.
