Toys for Tots

The Springhill Lions Club’s Toys For Tots is accepting applications, Monday through Wednesday, Nov 18-Dec 5, from 10-2, at 6 McFarlane Street, behind Foodland. Bring MSI cards for each child you are applying for and proof of income. Pick up day is Thursday Dec 19 from 10-2. Donations of new unwrapped gifts for Toy’s For Tot’s can be dropped off at the office on McFarlane Street or at All Saints Anglican Church. For more information call 902-297-1012.

Christmas Bazaar

The Shari Mallinson Gallery will be hosting personalized Christmas Card-Creating Sessions for Amherst seniors Nov. 21 and 22, from 1 to 5 p.m., and on Saturday, Nov. 23, artist Ben Pitman will host two card-creating sessions, from 10 a.m. to noon, and then from noon to 2 p.m. All cards will be left with the gallery to be personally delivered to Amherst’s retirement communities for the upcoming holidays. Christmas Market and Luncheon

The Amherst and Area Tae Kwon-do Parents Association is holding a Christmas Market and Luncheon, Saturday Nov 23, from 10-2, at the Amherst Lions Center. There will be 30 vendors and a soup and chili luncheon. Admission is free. If you would like a vendor table, they are available for $15, with rentals to Christmas For Kids. Luncheon tickets  are $10, with a portion of sales to Christmas For Kids.

Music at the Mall

There’s Music at the Mall Saturday at the Amherst Center. It’s a drop in day. You never know who will be playing from 11-1 at the Artisans Gallery. Then Michelle LeBlanc plays from 1-3. As always, there will be a cash draw and door prizes.. It’s the 2nd weekend for the 2nd Annual Collins Christmas Craft Village, And there’s always great food, with Caribbean, Korean and traditional cuisine at the Café.
