Christmas Cranberry Sampler and Auction
It’s a night of Christmas taste-testing and auction fun. The Christmas Cranberry Sampler & Auction at First Baptist Church Amherst is Wednesday, November 13 at 7. Tickets are $10.00 per person and on sale at the Church office.

Empowering Beyond Barriers presents, Coats For Cumberland, Friday November 15 from 11-2 at the Amherst Center. There will be winter wear of all sorts, for children and adults and all items are free. You can donate winter wear at drop off boxes at Sobeys, the Amherst Center, NSCC, Tantramar Chevrolet Buick GMC and at Amherst Town Hall.

First Baptist Church of Amherst Presents Christmas Tea & Craft Sale on Friday, November 15th from 11-1. Celebrate Christmas in Downtown Amherst and enjoy sandwiches, sweets, tea/coffee as well as a Craft Sale. Cost is $8.00.

The Christmas season in Amherst begins Friday Nov 15, with the Holiday Light-up in Victoria Square from 6-7. There will be live music, hot chocolate and the countdown to the light up. Then the Amherst Regional High band will be playing Christmas music, next door at the First Baptist Church.

The Cumberland North Academy Fall Market and Craft Sale is Saturday Nov 16 from 9-1. There will be crafts, food, artisans, community vendors and CAN baked goods. The Bethlehem Market returns Saturday Nov 16 from 9-11:30 at Trinity St Stephens United Church. They will have craft ,baked goods, preserves, jewellery and gently used Christmas ornaments. They will have a silent auction till 11 and drop by the nativity scene for a selfie. For lunch drop by the Martha’s Inn Café, with turkey soup, biscuits and cookies for $8.

Cumberland Railway Club will have a Model Train Show Saturday at the Amherst Center. Shows 10-2 and 6-9. The admission is a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank.

Wesley St. Matthews United Church in Pugwash is holding a Church Supper, Saturday from 4-6. They will be serving meat loaf, potato scallop and beans and brown bread. The cost is $12 for adults, ages 6 and under free. Proceeds are for church expenses.

Saturday is Christmas Parade Day. This year’s theme is Light Up The Night Traditional Christmas”. It begins at 6 from the TD Canada Trust parking lot and follows the same route as last year, with one exception. The parade will end at the Walmart parking lot, diverted at the lights at Kent.
