You can join the Amherst Rotary Club for the Walk to End Polio, Saturday at Rotary Park. The walk leaves the park at 10 walking a 5km route to the YMCA of Cumberland. There will be Tim Horton treats there. If you can’t make it, make a donation to any Rotarian. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has pledged to match your donation 2 to 1.

The Amherst Police Department is hosting a couple of Cram A Cruiser events in Amherst. They would like you to cram the cruiser with non-perishable Food items for the food bank. And all sizes of winter wear for the Coats for Cumberland campaign. There is a special need for size 8 and up for boys and plus sizes for adults and for snow pants as well. There’s Music at the Mall Saturday at the Amherst Center. Musicians will dropping in and playing from 11-1, then it’s Slim Pickens from 1-3 and Evange Landry, Rod Ouellette and Neon Moon from 5-7. This weekend is the first of 6 3-Day Weekends, for the 2nd Annual Collins Christmas Craft Village. They run Friday 2-9, Saturdays 10-9 and Sundays 10-5. And there always great food, with Caribbean, Korean and traditional cuisine in the Café.
