The Cumberland Y Service Club and the Amherst Y’s Mennettes have a Make a Difference Day coming up on Saturday Sept 28. With help from community volunteers they will be holding a Food Drive between 10 and noon. If you are not going to be home, leave your donations on your front step.

There’s Music at the Mall, Saturday at the Amherst Center. Drew Moore will be playing at the Market Café from 11-1. Then it’s the Doug Proctor Band  from 1-3. And ask about the Collins Christmas Craft Village coming November 15. As always there will be a cash draw and door prizes. And there’s great food, with Caribbean, Korean and traditional cuisine in the Café.

Oxford Area Lionettes are hosting a Ladies Night Out Saturday, 8–midnight at the Oxford Fire Hall.  The evening includes: vendors, food/drink, entertainment, door prizes, 50/50   Admission is $10, and includes one drink. Tickets available at Oxford Home Hardware or at the Door.

Sunday Sept 29, it’s the Mount A Shinerama Bottle Drive. They will be collecting from 1-4. Post on the MTA Shinerama Bottle Drive 2019 facebook page to let them know you want to donate or leave your refundables at the end of your driveway

Tantramar Heritage Trust’s annual "Taste of History" fundraising dinner, is Sunday Sept 29 at the Music Barn on Station Road in Sackville. This year will centre around the Saxby Gale, which took place October 4-5, 1869. There will be a dramatization of the events around the Gale, Al Smith's famous Trivia Competition, a Silent Auction, 50/50 draw, and more. On the menu, a hip of beef dinner. Music at Trinity presents the windwood quintet Ventus Machina,with guest soprano Monette Gould, Sunday at 7:30 at Trinity St Stephens United Church. Tickets are $20 for adults. Children between 7 aqnd 18 accompanied by an adult ticket holder, are admitted free, Tickets are available at the door, or use your credit card and call the church office at 902-667-8483 weekdays 9-4.

There’s a Blood Donor Clinic Monday Sept 30, 2019 at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre from 1-4 & 5:30-8:30 p.m. New donors are always welcome. For appointment, go to blood.ca or use the  GiveBlood app. Join Canada’s Lifeline.
