Then starting at 10:30, it’s Family Fun Day at Dickey Park, with the Active Family Parade, laser tag, inflatables, petting zoo, walking track trivia and live music from 11-3. St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Sackville will be holding a Yard and Bake Sale, Saturday Sept 14 from 9-noon. The church is wheelchair accessible. Proceeds to support church programs.

Saturday there will be a Hazardous Waste Event, at the Amherst Fire Hall from 9-noon. What’s accepted? Acids, aerosols, antifreeze, batteries, gasoline, herbicides, pesticides, propane tanks and pool cleaners.

The Amherst and Area Tae Kwon-do Parents Association a hosting a BBQ Saturday Sept 14 from 10:30-3 at Dickey Park, as part of the Town of Amherst Family Fun Day.

Amherst’s Terry Fox Run is Sunday Sept 15 at Dickey Park. 5 and 10k options are available. You can walk, run or bike, and you can use the trails at Dickey park or the route through town, Registration is at 9, with the run at 10. The Terry Fox Run is pet friendly.
