There’s a Community Shed Event for residential materials, Friday at the Amherst Fire Hall from 11-2. Saturday there will be a Hazardous Waste Event, at the fire hall from 9-noon. What’s accepted? Acids, aerosols, antifreeze, batteries, gasoline, herbicides, pesticides, propane tanks and pool cleaners.

Mount Allison Student Union Shine Day is Saturday. Students will be spreading out in the Sackville, Amherst, Moncton and Shediac areas, raising funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis from 7:30-2:30. Sunday Sept 29, it’s the Mount A Shinerama Bottle Drive. They will be collecting from 1-4. Post on the MTA Shinerama Bottle Drive 2019 facebook page to let them know you want to donate or leave your refundables at the end of your driveway

Then starting at 10:30, it’s Family Fun Day at Dickey Park, with the Active Family Parade, laser tag, inflatables, petting zoo, walking track trivia and live music from 11-3.
