Friday there will be a Community Shred Event at the Amherst Fire Hall for residential materials from 11-2. Saturday, There will be a Hazardous Waste Event at the Amherst Fire hall from 9-noon. What’s accepted? Acids, aerosols, antifreeze, batteries, gasoline, herbicides, pesticides, propane tanks and pool cleaners. There are Household Hazardous Waste Events on Saturday Oct 5 in Cumberland County, to make-up for the one postponed from Sept 7.

There’s Music at the Mall, Saturday at the Amherst Center. R.A. will be playing at the Market and Café from 11-1. Then from 1-3 Slim Pickins will be entertaining. Mount Allison Student Union Shine Day is Saturday. Students will be spreading out in the Sackville, Amherst, Moncton and Shediac areas, raising funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis from 7:30-2:30. Sunday Sept 29, it’s the Mount A Shinerama Bottle Drive. They will be collecting from 1-4. Post on the MTA Shinerama Bottle Drive 2019 facebook page to let them know you want to donate or leave your refundables at the end of your driveway
