It’s Seniors Day at the Cumberland County Exhibition in Oxford. The Maltby Stables Junior and Senior Barrel Racing starting at 10:25, pole bending starts at 1:30. Tonight there’s tug of war with the 4h-ers first at 7:15. On the second stage there’s music from Marg and Andrew Lloyd, Ron Oulette and Friends, Bill Dominey, and Mary, Laura and Friends. The Shari Mallinson Gallery at 127 Victoria Street, will be hosting Summer Strawberries, Wine Glass Painting with instructor Rebecca Taylor, Thursday Aug 29, from 5:30-7:30. At the end of the class, you will take home the 2 strawberry painted wine glasses you have created. The cost is $25, supplies included, but spaces are limited. Reserve your space Tuesday-Friday 1-5 or Saturday 10-2.

The Amherst First Baptist Church’s Lobster Roll Luncheon is Friday, from 11:30 am - 1:30. Meal includes Lobster Roll on toasted bun, Potato Salad, Blueberry Cake with Brown Sugar Sauce, Tea & Coffee. Eat in or take out. Delivery is available. Tickets $20.00 available at Church Office.

Join the Amherst Town Police and Maggie’s Place at the Amherst Superstore Friday Aug 30, for Cram-A-Cruiser. Between 1 and 4, let’s see if we can collect enough school supplies, to fill the Police Cruiser. There’s Music at the Mall Saturday at the Amherst Center. Andy Melanson will be playing at the Market and Café from 11-1. Evange Landry, Rod Oullette and Neon Moon will play from 1-3. As always there will be a cash draw and door prizes. And there’s great food, with Caribbean, Korean and traditional cuisine at the Café.
