There’s Music at the Mall Saturday at the Amherst Center. Beth Weatherbee will be playing from 11-1 at the Artisans Market and Café. Join Drew Moore and Mike Blakeney from 1-3. As always there will be a cash draw and door prizes. And there is great food with Caribbean, Korean and traditional cuisine at the Café.

There are Sunday Evenings of Music at the Brookdale United Church. Sunday August 25, at 6:30, Joyce Fraser and Friends are the musical guests. Admission is by donation, and there will be light refreshments afterward

The Cumberland County Exhibition runs August 26-31 in Oxford. What’s back? The light horse show, the woodsmen competition, tug of war, Farmers Olympics and much more. The Town of Amherst is once again funding bright, innovative community events or initiatives through its ‘A’ Fresh Start Community Initiative. It’s Family Day at the Cumberland County Exhibition in Oxford. Horse classes are in the spotlight today. The children’s Parade is tonight at 6:30. The Woodsman Competition begins at 6:50. The Shari Mallinson Gallery at 127 Victoria Street, will be hosting Summer Strawberries, Wine Glass Painting with instructor Rebecca Taylor, Thursday Aug 29, from 5:30-7:30. At the end of the class, you will take home the 2 strawberry painted wine glasses you have created. The cost is $25, supplies included, but spaces are limited.
