Music at the Mall
There’s Music at the Mall Saturday at the Amherst Center. Andy Melanson will be playing at the Market and Café from 11-1. Then it’s R.A., Jack Hudson and Drew Moore from 1-3. As always there will be a cash draw and door prizes. And there’s great food, with Caribbean, Korean and traditional cuisine at the Café.

The Wild Blueberry Harvest Festival is Aug 14-31 in Cumberland County. The River Phillip Wild Blueberry Dinner is Saturday Aug 17 from 4-6 at the Community Hall. They will have ham and cold salads, rolls, tea/coffee, and wild blueberry cheesecake/crisp. Cost: $12 for adults, $6 for children 12 and under; free for preschoolers. All proceeds go to the River Philip Community Hall Association.

There will be a Benefit for Cheryl Lefler, Saturday Aug 17 from 6-1 at the knights of Columbus Hall. There will be lots of entertainment, including Mark Raddin and an Open Mic from 6-9. Then there's a dance with Second Toe from 9-1. There will be live and silent auctions. Back to School Supplies are available for pick up this week at Maggie’s Place. Monday-Thursday 9-4 and Friday from 9-12. And in partnership with Cumberland Public Libraries, filled backpacks are available for pick-up at library branches throughout Cumberland County, except Amherst, during regular hours this week.
