The Cape Jourimain Lighthouse 150 Anniversary celebration is on this weekend. Friday night enjoy live music from Kenny James, Drew Moore and the Junior Jills from 7-10 in the Interpretive Center. Saturday and Sunday, the first and second floors of the lighthouse will be open from 10-4 and the Interpretive Center will be open from10-4, with a festival of historic arts and crafts and crafts and games. Saturday there’s a BBQ noon-2 and anniversary cake at 1.

The 5th Annual Bordertown Biker Bash is July 12-14 in the Canadian Tire Parking Lot. This year’s event features stunt shows,the Burnout Competition, the Toys for Tots Ride, the Tim Horton’s Blitz the Bridge, the Defenders Poker Run, and the Show and Shine Competitions. There will be Vendors, Food and Artisans. Friday’s entertainment will be from Loaded Dice. Saturday Rick Reese will be on stage. Join Cumberland Trails and the Nova Scotia Orienteering Association for a Fun Paddle in Pugwash, this Saturday. Paddle to an Island to find checkpoints or paddle around Pugwash Basin. Canoes and Kayaks welcome. Cost is 20.00 per vessel with funds raised to support Cumberland Trails. Register at Seagull Parking Lot opposite the Yacht Club. Start time is 10.

There’s Music at the Mall Saturday, at the Amherst Center. In conjunction with the Bordertown Biker Bash, R.A. and Jack, and Slim Pickens will be playing alternating one hour sets between noon and 4. Market Café vendors with Caribbean, Korean and traditional cuisine will be set up in a tent on site. John will be serving breakfast both Saturday and Sunday mornings during the Biker Bash..

Minudie Day is Sunday starting at noon, at the Amos Seaman School Museum Grounds and the St. Denis Church. Among the events are a BBQ, strawberry shortcake, yard sales, and lots of activities for children, with a bouncy castle face painting and a fish pond.
