The Brookdale, Fenwick and Nappan United churches, present the Country Legends Tribute Tour, Thursday at 7 at the Nappan United Church. 100 years ago on July 5 1919, the Handley Page Atlantic crashed landed in Parrsboro and remained there for repairs until October. In 1987, the Ships Company Theatre produced a play called The Summer of the Handley Page about the event. A film of the production will be shown Friday and Saturday at 2 at the Hall. The Tidnish Crossroads Community Association are holding the 39th Annual Tidnish Festival, July 6 and 7 at the Rodney Estabrooks Memorial Sports Field. The Tidnish Crossroads Community Association and the Tidnish Fire Department are hosting a Poker Run Saturday. It’s the Annual Power Boat Poker Rally. Registration is from 11-12 at the Fire Department. The fee is $20 per boat and captain, $10 for each extra player. And stick around for all the great events of the 39th Annual Tidnish Festival at the Rodney Estabrooks Memorial Sports Field.

There’s a CWL Merchandise Bingo Monday at the Catholic Church hall in Springhill. Doors open at 6, bingo starts at 7. There will be regular games and specials, and the jackpot prize, an 8 piece patio set. All bingo books are $5. There will also be a canteen with turkey burgers and apple crisp.
