There’s a Benefit Dance for Angie Pipes, Saturday June 1 from 6-closing at Teasers. There will be music from Union Settlement, Ron Downey and Friends, Michelle LeBlanc, Mike and Greg, the Jeff Siddall Band, Wayne and Jim and many more. There will be a 50/50 and a silent auction. The 23 Annual Crohn’s and Colitis Canada Amherst Gutsy Walk is Sunday June 2 from noon-3 at the Amherst Rotary Park. If you collect donations of $100 or more, you’ll receive a Gutsy Walk T-shirt. Go to crohnsandcolitiscanada, and click on the Amherst event start your fundraising. The Bangkok Food Truck will also be at the walk.

There’s a Fundraising Concert, featuring Dave Gunning and Garnet Rogers, Sunday at 2 at the Sharon United Church in Tatamagouche. The suggested donation is $20. Proceeds to of the Maritimes-Guatemala Breaking the Silence Network and the Guatemala-Tatamagouche Schools/Community Project.

Harrison's Home Hardware is giving back. $8 from every gallon of PPG interior paint sold in June will be donated to charity. The Amherst location will be donating to the After the School Bell Food Program, in Parrsboro to TNR Parrsboro. And in Pugwash to the High School Tech Department and the Elementary gardening Program.

There’s a Movie Afternoon at the Springhill Library Thursday. They will be showing the LEGO Movie 2 for grades P-6 starting at 3. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult. Just a reminder that the Summer Reading Club Kick Off will be at the Springhill Library Thursday June 20 from 3-5.

The Bridge Adult Service Centre is holding our first annual Disability Pride Day  Friday from 11-2 and invite you to join them. There will be an open house and live music.
