The band SECOND TOE, is having their second, Facebook Live Music Night  Friday, 7:30 - 9 pm. They have chosen "AUTUMN HOUSE" (Shelter for women and children of abusive situations) to be the recipient of any funds donated during our event. This is a FREE public-family-friendly event and donations are not mandatory but are appreciated. Dale & Sarah Letcher of Big Fish will be dropping by for a few tunes.

The Mount Allison Relay For Life Team is holding a bottle drive, Saturday Jan 30 from 9-1. Drop off your donations at 18A Park Street. Or send them a direct message on Facebook, Instagram or email relayforlifemta@mta.ca for pick up.

Each community will start their walks here in Amherst.  Each community is also challenged to see how many other communities named Amherst they can reach in North America, as they travel a pre-determined route, and who can get there first. The Town of Amherst is collecting nominations for those you feel deserve special volunteer recognition. The Town of Amherst hosts a Volunteer Appreciation Reception to honor all nominees. The Linden Community Hall is hosting a Sweetheart Supper take-out, Sunday Feb 14th, with pick up between 4 and 5. You have two meal choices, Sweet and Sour Meatballs with veggie fried rice or Chicken Fettucine Alfredo. There are two dessert choices as well.
