The Town of Amherst is collecting nominations for those you feel deserve special volunteer recognition. The Town of Amherst hosts a Volunteer Appreciation Reception to honor all nominees. The Linden Community Hall is hosting a Sweetheart Supper take-out, Sunday Feb 14th, with pick up between 4 and 5. You have two meal choices, Sweet and Sour Meatballs with veggie fried rice or Chicken Fettucine Alfredo. There are two dessert choices as well. Each community will start their walks here in Amherst.  Each community is also challenged to see how many other communities named Amherst they can reach in North America, as they travel a pre-determined route, and who can get there first.
